Shawn M. Kennedy, CEO, is a litigator with 12 years of experience handling complex business disputes, including securities litigation and enforcement proceedings, professional liability actions, consumer class actions, antitrust disputes, and white collar criminal actions, at two AmLaw 100 law firms, most recently with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

Shawn has experience in all aspects of civil litigation, including taking and defending hundreds of depositions in federal and state court. He has litigated on behalf of clients in the financial, legal, accounting, beverage, energy, and automotive industries and has represented corporations and individuals in connection with investigations and enforcement proceedings by the SEC and other government agencies. As a result, Shawn brings a depth of understanding of the ins and outs of the discovery process and, in particular, the challenges of deposition practice.

Shawn earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law in 2001 and his bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1998.

Thadd Hale, COO, has spent his entire career serving the litigation industry and has built his reputation around delivering quality products and services to law firms, corporate law departments, and government agencies. In 2005, Thadd founded Advanced Discovery, a leading eDiscovery company, and was responsible for the technology vision of the company and managing and developing service lines as diverse as national sales strategies, data processing, forensic collections, web hosting and attorney review.

Thadd has more than 10 years of management experience and has held senior management roles with several national litigation support providers. He started his career in sales for IKON in 1998, where he gained a deep understanding of both sales and technology operations. In 2002, Thadd joined OmniDox, a nationwide litigation services provider, where he held regional and national management positions.

Thadd graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas.

Rick Russell, Director of Development, has an extensive background in software development, with more than 25 years of experience. For the past six years, Rick directed all software development at Access Data, providing enterprise-class solutions for e-discovery, legal review, computer forensics and other digital investigations to law firms, corporations, and government agencies.

In 1987, Rick co-founded Capsoft Development Corporation, a frontrunner in document automation tools and processing. Their industry-leading software assisted law firms, legal publishers, and other business users in simplifying and accelerating the task of producing repetitive, rule-based documents.

Rick earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Brigham Young University.
